Why I Write

Writing is my lifeline to myself. It keeps me sane, honest, and grounded. Writing is reliable, compassionate, and constant. I can be fierce, vulnerable, and reveal my true self. I can be who I am. I can be.


Kathy Fox lives with her husband on the eastern plains of Colorado. She loves to write, hike, and boat, and enjoys beautiful landscapes and beautiful things. She’s a Pilates enthusiast, avid reader, and delights in spending time with family and friends. Kathy is also a breast cancer survivor and a seeker. Her writing, which includes poetry and creative nonfiction, explores how we care for and connect with one another. Kathy’s poem, Dancing was a Top Winner in Poetry in the Denver Woman’s Press Club 2020 Unknown Writers’ Contest.
